Baiye Auto Parts City grabs billions of industrial "cakes"
In a recent update from the Forum of Presidents of the National Association of Automobile Maintenance Trade Associations in Dongguan, it was revealed that the city currently hosts over 3,000 companies in the automotive aftermarket sector and has a vehicle ownership of 1.5 million units, creating a market valued at nearly 10 billion yuan. This represents a huge opportunity — a "big cake" for investors and entrepreneurs alike. In addition, the upcoming Dongguan Baiye International Auto Parts City is set to launch by year-end, aiming to consolidate the city's auto aftermarket industry and capture a significant share of this booming market.
According to Li Xincheng, vice chairman of the Dongguan Automobile Maintenance Industry Association and chairman of the Baiye International Auto Parts City, while Dongguan’s auto aftermarket is among the most developed in the Pearl River Delta region, the local auto parts industry has long been dominated by street-level vendors with outdated business models. Key challenges include poor management, lack of infrastructure, and chaotic layouts that contribute to traffic congestion and an unorganized environment. These issues have created significant pressure on logistics and daily operations.
To address these problems, Li emphasized the urgent need for large-scale modern logistics platforms that can support efficient distribution and operation. In response, the Baiye International Auto Parts City was established as a solution to these challenges. The project, which has attracted 200 million yuan in total investment, covers over 150,000 square meters and is currently the largest and most advanced automobile parts city in Dongguan. It is also considered one of the biggest professional auto parts markets in South China.
The market features more than 700 trading stalls and a comprehensive area of over 30,000 square meters dedicated to living, leisure, office spaces, and logistics services. Located at the heart of Dongguan’s planned gold auto trade zone, it is surrounded by around 100 auto trade centers and 4S stores, making it a strategic hub for the industry.
Li Xincheng shared that the Baiye International Auto Parts City was inspired by successful Japanese models, incorporating modern concepts such as car accessories, beauty services, repairs, and even online global trade. The market offers a full range of services, including exhibitions, information consultation, and e-commerce integration, elevating the overall value of the auto parts industry.
He further stated that the goal is to transform the Baiye International Auto Parts City into a leading international logistics platform for the automotive aftermarket. The project aims to become a key symbol of the "Dongguan Price" in the national auto industry and a brand-driven center for the upgrading and transformation of South China’s auto parts sector.
