To enhance product competitiveness and promote energy efficiency and environmental protection, Zhengzhou Nissan is set to launch a new diesel pickup equipped with the advanced ZD25 Euro III engine. Developed jointly by Zhengzhou Nissan and Germany's Bosch, this engine not only meets national emission standards but also brings a series of cutting-edge technologies that position the diesel pickup as a market leader in its class.
**Ecotechnology**
Although named the Euro III engine, the ZD25 is packed with high-tech features that make it easy to meet national emission standards. It offers a competitive edge through its “three lows and one high†performance: low fuel consumption, low emissions, low noise, and high performance.
- **Low Fuel Consumption**: The electronically controlled high-pressure common rail direct injection system delivers up to 145 Mbar of fuel pressure—1.1 times higher than conventional engines—boosting fuel efficiency by about 10%. The dual independent spiral inlet improves combustion quality, reducing fuel usage. Under full load, the combined fuel consumption is less than 7.2L per 100km, and at constant speed (30km/h), it uses just 3.4L. This helps reduce concerns over rising fuel prices.
- **Low Emissions**: Compared to traditional EGR systems, the intercooled EGR system further lowers exhaust gas temperatures, reducing NOx emissions and meeting stricter standards.
- **Low Noise**: High-pressure pre-injection technology and a dual water-cooling cylinder head system help minimize combustion noise and vibration, lowering engine noise by 20%. This makes the engine nearly silent, whether running or stationary.
- **High Performance**: The glow plug reaches 850°C in about 5 seconds and can reach up to 1050°C after 60 seconds, ensuring reliable starts even in extreme cold (-30°C to -40°C).
**Advanced Power**
The ZD25 Euro III engine meets international standards and is considered a leader among China’s light-duty diesel engines. With a 2.5L displacement, it produces up to 80KW of power. When fully loaded with five people carrying 490kg, the new Nissan diesel pickup can reach a top speed of 150km/h, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in under 23 seconds, offering a smooth driving experience on highways.
The engine delivers a maximum torque of 260Nm, with 85% of that available between 1600-3200rpm—a rare feature in similar vehicles. This ensures strong performance in both city traffic and challenging terrains. It can climb up to 30% gradients, making mountainous travel effortless and even navigating pedestrian areas with ease.
**Human-Centered Design**
Zhengzhou Nissan has always aimed to provide pickups with a "sedan-like" driving experience. The new diesel pickups feature interiors that match the standard of Nissan gasoline pickups, known for their elegance and comfort. These models come with leather seats, CD stereos, one-touch power windows, power mirrors, door open alarm systems, wipers, and electronic ABS—all standard on the deluxe version.
