Siemens to invest USD 200 million in wind power development in Denmark

Siemens recently announced that it will invest at least 150 million euros (about 217 million U.S. dollars) in Denmark to expand its wind power business within the next two years.

Siemens stated that this investment will be used to establish new R&D centers in Brande and Aalborg, Denmark, and to expand the offices in Brent and Vejle.

Siemens stated that in order to meet the growing demand for renewable energy, Siemens has established new wind power plants in China and the United States, and set up R&D centers in Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and the United States.

According to Jens-Peter Saul, CEO of Siemens Wind Power Business Unit, Siemens also plans to set up new factories in the UK, Canada, Russia and India.
