This is from Martin Nowak:
In September, Roberts Park Fire District acquired a Ford F-350/Wheeled Coach ambulance to serve as a second spare unit. It’s labeled 3R2, following the numbering system used for their existing spare, which is 3R (a 2008 Ford F-450/Osage that was previously numbered 308 and then 31). The new ambulance came from Virginia and was purchased as a backup vehicle, with only 32,000 miles on the odometer at the time of purchase.
I’ve included several photos of the ambulance. The first few show the 3R2 unit in its current condition. There’s also a photo of A3R, which is another unit in their fleet.
Recently, Roberts Park sent Ambulance 32, a 2009 Ford E-450/Osage, to Osage for a rechassis. The new chassis is a 2013 or 2014 Ford E-450 paired with an older Osage body. Interestingly, the new chassis doesn’t yet have the RP logos on the doors, but I expect they’ll be added soon. One of the attached photos shows the old chassis before the replacement.
These images provide a good look at both the new and old configurations of the ambulance, giving a clear view of the recent upgrades and changes taking place in the district’s fleet.
