Jiangsu Shagang and Yaxing Anchor Chain cooperate

Recently, Jiangsu Shagang Group Zhungang Special Steel Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Yaxing Anchor Chain Co., Ltd. have become strategic partners. According to the cooperation agreement signed by the two parties, Zhungang Special Steel, which is the largest marine anchor chain steel supply base in China, will continue to provide 120,000 tons of anchor chain steel for the Yaxing anchor chain every year; on this basis, the above two enterprises will also Joint development of high value-added mooring chain steel.
In fact, the anchor chain steel is only part of the market cake of Shagang's marine steel. In recent years, Shagang has strengthened its certification of the medium and heavy plate classification society and the development of high value-added products through the 5m wide and heavy plate production line, which not only further enhances its share of the ship plate in the domestic market, but also drives the ship board into Korea. The market has established close partnerships with many Korean shipbuilding companies such as Hyundai Heavy Industries Samsung Heavy Industry Daewoo Shipbuilding STX.
The Shagang wide and heavy plate production line is the second 5-meter wide and heavy plate production line built by domestic steel enterprises after Baosteel, and the process equipment has a world-class level. During the construction of the project, Shagang was highly concerned by the shipbuilding industry at home and abroad. South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries Samsung Heavy Industry and Hanjin Heavy Industry signed a memorandum of cooperation on long-term purchase and sale of marine steel with Shagang. In December last year, Shagang signed the above memorandum with STX.
It is understood that due to the promising prospects of the ship plate market, Shagang has made plans to increase the shipboard capacity to 400,000 tons this year.
