Dexing Copper Mine Concentrator (1)

Dexing Copper Mine is the largest porphyry copper deposit, one of the few in the world porphyry copper deposit. Built in 1971 10000t / d of mining conglomerate, designed by Changsha Nonferrous Metallurgy Design and Research Institute. In 1984 it built 5000t / d "self-mill - ball mill - crushing" open a new autogenous grinding process (referred to as "ABC") beneficiation plant, designed by the Nanchang Nonferrous Metallurgy Design and Research Institute, said more than a processing plant. The second phase 15000t/d expansion project was completed and put into operation at the end of 1986. It was designed by Beijing Nonferrous Metals Design and Research Institute and is also known as the Second Selection Plant. After the Dexing Copper Mine is completed as planned, it will become the first large-scale copper mining and processing joint enterprise in China to deal with the ore volume of 105000t/d.
(1) Ore properties: According to their ore-bearing properties, they can be divided into two types: altered phyllite and altered granodiorite; depending on their structure, they can be divided into fine vein type and disseminated type. The two major types of the main, the two appear cross, but the former are mostly. There are a small amount of oxidized ore and mixed ore in the upper part and the side of the ore body. The ore contains 0.5% copper, 2% sulfur, 0.0108% molybdenum and 0.235g/t gold.

Non-metallic minerals are quartz, sericite, chlorite, epidote and kaolin.
The pyrite granularity is generally 0.003 ~ 0.4mm, mostly coarse particles. When ground to 0.14 mm, the monomer dissociation degree is over 80%.
Chalcopyrite particle size is generally between 0.005 ~ 0.5mm, and most of them are 0.01 ~ 0.5mm. When ground to 0.074 mm, the monomer dissociation degree is 85%.
Molybdenite has a fine particle size, generally 0.0025 ~ 0.2mm.
When ground to 0.02 mm, the monomer dissociation degree is only about 80%.
In summary, the mine is unevenly embedded, and only fine grinding can obtain better sorting indicators.
The ore density is 2.7t/m 3 , the loose density is 1.65t/m 3 , and the Platts hardness is 6 ~ 8. The upper part of the ore contains more mud.
(2) Process flow: The mine has a scale of 10,000t/d, and the crushing is divided into two systems, new and old. The original three-stage one closed circuit plus washing (vibrating screen plus spiral separator) process, the amount of mud is reduced, and it is changed to three sections and one closed road without washing process. The process can eventually break the ore to less than 15mm. See below.

The grinding process is a section of grinding, and the grinding material is less than 0.074mm60 ~ 65%. The grinding and floating process is divided into 10 series according to the grinding machine, and the flotation is the process of two coarse and two sweeping, one roughing out of the concentrate. The 1st, 2nd, and 0th systems all use the CHF-X14 inflatable agitation flotation machine. The 3 ~ 8 system originally used 6 sets of 51m3 flotation column and 84 slots of XJK-2.8 flotation machine. The flotation column was rough-opened by open circuit. The tailings were selected twice by XJK-2.8 flotation machine. The JJF-16 flotation machine replaces the flotation column and the XJK-2.8 flotation machine. See below.

In 1978, the coarse concentrate was concentrated and re-grinded to obtain copper concentrate (actually copper-molybdenum concentrate) and sulfur concentrate. The concentrated regrind and selection of coarse concentrates not only increased the copper concentrate grade from 10 ~ 13% to 22 ~ 24%, but also increased the recovery rate from 82 ~ 84% to 85 ~ 86%.
The copper and sulfur concentrates of the ore dressing plant adopt the two-stage dewatering process of concentration and filtration, and the final moisture is about 12%.
There is an industrial test plant for the separation of copper-molybdenum concentrate. The samples are taken directly from the copper-molybdenum concentrate of the plant. The process test and equipment are shown in the figure below.

The 5000t/d concentrator that the mine put into operation in July 1984 is to solve the adverse impact of the ore containing mud and water on the crushing ore. According to the large number of test results of Dexing Copper Mine ф2400×900mm self-grinding machine , combined with the production practice of self-grinding technology at home and abroad, the “self-grinding-ball milling-fine crushing” open-circuit self-grinding process, namely “ABC” process, The process flow is shown in the figure below.
