Commercial vehicle scrap can receive over 10,000 yuan subsidies to encourage upgrading

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce recently issued a joint announcement to clarify the scope, subsidy standards, and admissible time of vehicles that were used to retiring old cars in 2012. This year's trade-in subsidies are mainly for commercial vehicles. All eligible old city buses, heavy-duty trucks and Other old cars will be scrapped. The subsidy amount will be 11,000 yuan to 18,000 yuan. The relevant subsidy fund application processing time is from July 1, 2012 to January 31, 2013.

The announcement stipulates that during 2012, the owner will use the old car with a car length of more than 4.8 meters (including 4.8 meters) and less than 7.5 meters for more than 6 years (including 6 years) and less than 15 years, and sell it to an end-of-life vehicle recycling company. In the year when rural passenger vehicles were renewed, a subsidy of 11,000 yuan per vehicle could be obtained. Vehicle owners sell semi-trailer tractors that have been used for more than 10 years (including 10 years) and less than 15 years, and heavy-duty trucks with a total mass of more than 12,000 kg (including 12,000 kg) to end-of-life vehicle recycling companies. The subsidy standard is for each vehicle. 18,000 yuan.

This year's trade-in subsidies for urban buses are divided into two standards: 8 or more years (including 8 years) and less than 15 years. The length of the bus is greater than 6 meters (including 6 meters) or the number of passengers is greater than 20 (including 20 people). In the same year, the updated urban buses have a subsidy standard of 18,000 yuan per vehicle; the bus length is less than 6 meters and the number of passengers is 10 to 19, and the updated urban buses in that year have a subsidy standard of 1.1 per vehicle. Ten thousand yuan, a decrease of 7,000 yuan from last year.

A related person from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers stated that the introduction of a new round of stimulus policies is a good thing. From January to May of this year, automobile production and sales amounted to 8,003,000 vehicles and 8,023,500 vehicles, an increase of 3.19% and 1.7% year-on-year, respectively, and the domestic automobile market showed a steady upward trend. However, commercial vehicles did not perform well this year, producing 301,800 units in the first five months, a year-on-year decrease of 11.87% and a year-on-year decrease of 2.02%; sales of 323,300 units were down 6.63% month-on-month and 4.3% year-on-year. The introduction of the trade-in replacement policy will help the commercial vehicle market recover.
