MacGregor cement processing system received orders from Japan
Cargotec's MacGregor has received new orders to provide automatic loading and unloading systems for an 8700dwt cement carrier that the Japanese shipowner Taiheiyo Kisen Kaisha Ltd will build.
Anders Berencsy, business sales manager for MacGregor Selfunloaders, said, "This fully enclosed cement processing design will ensure flexible, efficient and clean cargo handling, and computer-controlled systems can be operated automatically by just one person."
It is reported that the new captain will be 109 meters and will have four cargo compartments. Each cargo compartment is divided into two parts. MacGregor's cement treatment system is designed to transport Class 3 cement at a time. The deck is also equipped with a dust collector.
