LifeNet replaces Flight for Life in McHenry

Hey everyone, I just got some interesting updates from Asher Heimermann regarding Flight For Life's operations. As of April 2020, it seems that Flight For Life has stopped running out of McHenry. Instead, Air Methods has taken over the McHenry base, which is now located at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital. Interestingly, the helicopter’s appearance hasn’t changed too much—aside from the removal of the Flight for Life text, which has been replaced with "LifeNet." By the way, Flight for Life also shut down their base in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin back in January 2019. Right now, they only operate one helicopter out of the Waukesha County Airport. Check out these photos I found. The first one is a Larry Shapiro photo showing what the old setup looked like, and the second one is an Asher Heimermann shot of how things stand today. It’s kind of crazy to see how things have changed. It’s always fascinating to see how different companies step in and take over when others decide to pull out. Anyway, thought you’d all find this as intriguing as I did! Take care, [Your Name]
