House fire in St Charles, 4-15-15

I just got this update from John Tulipano: Around 11:36 PM on April 15th, 2015, the St. Charles Fire Department was called out to a reported house fire at 2901 Royal Fox Drive. Engine 102 arrived on the scene to find a large, two-story brick home with the attached garage fully engulfed in flames. The firefighters launched an aggressive attack, quickly getting the blaze under control within about an hour using three hand lines. They managed to prevent the fire from spreading into the main house, which was a real relief. John said they had everything under control in roughly an hour. Here are some of the photos John took that night: [Image description: A scene of a house fire at night. Their focus remains steadfast despite the late hour.] *John Tulipano photo* [Image description: Another angle showing firefighters with a hose line, clearly exhausted but determined, as they work to ensure the fire doesn't reignite.] *John Tulipano photo* [Image description: A firefighter inspecting the damage inside the garage, assessing the extent of the destruction and preparing for the overhaul process.] *John Tulipano photo* [Image description: Firefighters finishing up their overhaul work, ensuring all potential hazards have been addressed and the area is safe.] *John Tulipano photo* There are more photos available if you'd like to see them. This was definitely a close call, but thanks to the quick action of the firefighters, the damage was contained to just the garage. It's always reassuring to see how dedicated these first responders are, even in challenging situations like this one.
