House fire in Maywood, 1-25-17

I just got back from an interesting call earlier today. It happened at the intersection of 1st and Madison in Maywood, Illinois, on January 25th, 2017. By the time I arrived, the situation was already under control, but I still managed to get some great shots of the equipment involved. One of the highlights for me was seeing Maywood's brand-new engine in action. It's always exciting to witness new additions to a department, especially when they're as impressive as this one. Alongside it, there was also a newer Bellwood TL, which added another layer of interest to the scene. The aftermath of the incident was quite something to behold. Firefighters were still hard at work, going over the roof and checking everything out. The photos I took really capture the intensity and focus of the moment. Here are some images I snapped while I was there. You can see the firefighters in action, the new Maywood FD Engine 507, and even a glimpse of the Bellwood FD Truck 602. Each picture tells its own story about the dedication and professionalism of these first responders. [Insert Images Here] It’s always rewarding to document these moments, not only for personal satisfaction but also to highlight the incredible work that emergency services do every day. There’s something humbling about being present during such critical situations, knowing that you’re capturing history as it unfolds. I hope these images convey the scale and importance of what happened that day. If you have any thoughts or feedback, feel free to reach out—I’d love to hear from you!
