As the liquid exits the impeller, it enters the volute casing, where the cross-sectional area gradually increases. This expansion slows down the liquid’s velocity, converting some of its kinetic energy into static pressure. This pressure increase helps push the liquid further along the discharge line, ensuring it reaches the desired destination efficiently. The key to this system is the continuous rotation of the impeller. As long as it keeps spinning, the pump will maintain the suction and discharge process, allowing for steady and reliable liquid flow. This makes chemical pumps an essential component in many industrial applications where consistent and efficient fluid movement is required.
