2-Alarm fire in Evanston, 6-20-19 (more)
I just arrived at the scene of a two-alarm fire that broke out earlier today in Evanston on June 20, 2019. The situation is quite intense, and I've managed to capture some images that give you an idea of what's happening here.
The first picture shows the commercial building that caught fire. Flames are raging, and the smoke is thick, making it hard for firefighters to get close. You can see the intensity in the next image too, which captures the fire spreading through a strip mall. It's clear that this was no small blaze.
As you scroll down, there are several shots of the firefighting efforts. Evanston's fire trucks have quickly mobilized, and you can see Engine 25, Truck 22, and Engine 23 all working together to contain the flames. The firefighters are clearly doing their best under challenging conditions.
