2-11 Alarm fire and a Level 1 Hazmat, 9-8-22

This is from Chicagoland Fire Photos: CFD responded to a report of smoke at 7934 South Hoyne Avenue. When they arrived, firefighters discovered a large single-story commercial building, measuring approximately 50 by 150 feet, fully engulfed in flames. The fire spread rapidly, and it wasn't long before it was declared under control. However, due to the intensity of the blaze and potential hazards, a second-alarm status was called, along with a level one hazardous materials response as a precaution. The situation worsened when several explosions occurred, leading to partial roof collapse. At its peak, six master streams were deployed to combat the fire—two tower ladders, two deck guns, one snorkel, and one blitz.
