In addition, this CPU also integrates a number of digital and analog inputs, output functions, including eight-way switch, can be used as an input or output channel, CPU operation does not require an additional memory card.

The remaining sensors and actuators are connected to the controller via Profibus. The compact SLIO module can be installed in a small space in the control cabinet, connecting control signals to the main CPU, and supports multiple bus protocols.

In this project, Kuhn designed three decentralized IO stations: central control cabinets, nanofiltration equipment and removable cleaning equipment, respectively, connected via Profibus. The SLIO module has a stepped spring snap connection for quick wiring. The label strips and LED diagnostics correspond directly to the signal path to ensure easy and accurate evaluation of faults.
